Crisis
Communications
Lobby Golf
event in Hawaii:
Designed and implemented the sport’s first indoor pro-am in less
than 12 hours from conception of idea, thus helping to overcome
21 inches of rain and the likelihood of cancellation of the regularly
scheduled pro-am during the Women’s Kemper open. The Lobby Golf
event received worldwide coverage on CNN-TV.
Persian Gulf
War trading cards:
Deflected criticism away from officials at the Topps Company, which
had produced war trading cards. Repositioned the client in a positive
way with national media, educators and consumers.
Dani Tyler/Olympic
softball player:
Turned an unfortunate mistake (missing home plate on a potential
game-winning HR in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta) into a positive
situation with the media and general public. Tyler went on to help
the U.S. team earn the Gold medal and along the way won over the
hearts of sports fans everywhere for her ability to handle media
questions. Ibach & Associates handled her media training session
prior to those interviews.
